This past weekend I went to Cookiecon LA for the first time. I’m glad that I went because I met so many new people and it is great seeing people I already know. While I was there, I met the baker Ron Ben Israel and we had a nice conversation and took some pictures together. The line to get in the convention center was all the way outside and not everyone was able to get in! People were everywhere trying to buy things and the next thing I knew I had sold every last thing in my booth. There were cake decorating contests and I saw some truly amazing designs that took my breath away and left me eager to see more of the bakers’ work. The weekend left me feeling inspired, creative, and ready to create some new designs for my business. The best part about Cookiecon is being able to see the work of my fellow bakers and learning new tips and tricks. It really is a baker’s dream because you are surrounded by such talented people, you get to buy new things, and meet people who share the same passion as you. Thank you to Satin Ice for sponsoring me, my partner in crime Christina from Spin Spin Sugar, Tania Fischer Design for making the beautiful banner, packaging as well as paper flowers. Jeanette Rivas from J at your Service for my super cute bunting and the fun photo prop that people enjoyed so much. And last but not least, to my friend Carrie from Scarlet and Harlow Design who made the cutest fabric bunting and logo banner for my booth. I love you girls to the moon and back.
